The APP will provide comprehensive care of these urologic conditions, including education of the medical and behavioral treatment required. Provides comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing to address the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients and families within the framework of the collaborative practice agreement. The APP-I participates in beginning leadership, evidenced-based practice/ research, and organizational development activities with the support and direction of an experienced APP mentor. The Advanced Practice Provider I (APP-I) provides comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing to address the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients and families within the framework of the collaborative practice agreement. The APP-I participates in beginning leadership, evidenced-based practice/ research, and organizational development activities with the support and direction of an experienced APP mentor. Responsibilities Clinical Practice: competently provides comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing care to address the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients and families within the framework of the collaborative practice agreement. Professional Practice: actively participates in beginning leadership, evidenced-based practice/research, and organizational development activities with the support and direction of an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse mentor. Qualifications Master's Degree and 1-2 years pediatric experience, required, DNP preferred for APRNs but not required APRNs must have RN compact license in their primary residency state or if they do not reside in a compact state both MO and KS single state RN license APRNs must have MO and KS APRN licensure. PA’s must have MO and KS PA licensure National Board Certification required for state licensure APRN board certification congruent with population and practice setting (see policy statement: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Roles and Practice Setting) Required Upon Hire Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire For APRNs, Primary Care PNP will be required: Candidates have two years to be enrolled in a program and five years to complete the program EEO Employer/Disabled/Vet Children’s Mercy hires individuals based on their job skills, expertise and ability to maintain professional relationships with fellow employees, patients, parents and visitors.
