Job Summary (Primary Purpose): The Marketing Support Specialist supports the execution of marketing and communications efforts for educational events, products, and professional learning across multiple platforms. This role helps the marketing team build engagement, promote services, and support campaign execution for internal and external clients of ESC Region 13. Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, and Certificates): 1–3 years of marketing or communications experience (internships or part-time work considered) Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content scheduling tools Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Comfortable working on multiple projects at once and prioritizing tasks Strong interpersonal and communication skills Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Education, and Certificates): Associate or bachelor's degree (in marketing, communications, or related field) Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Pardot) Basic design skills using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite Familiarity with basic analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social platform insights) Knowledge and Skills: Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Social media scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social) Email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp) Adobe Creative Suite or Canva (basic use) WordPress or similar CMS (basic knowledge) Survey tools (e.g., Google Forms, SurveyMonkey) Major Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Represent ESC Region 13 with professionalism, courtesy, and discretion in all communications and public interactions Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns Support content creation efforts, including writing and editing for web, email, and social media platforms Help maintain editorial calendars and schedule content across digital platforms Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and assets needed for campaigns Track and report on basic performance metrics (e.g., social media engagement, email opens/clicks) Conduct basic market research to support campaign planning and audience targeting Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and style standards Assist with the creation of marketing materials and event collateral using templates and design tools Maintain organization of marketing files, assets, and project timelines Provide administrative support to the marketing team as needed Stay current on marketing trends and tactics, particularly in the education field Perform other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not supervise staff Budget Responsibilities: This position does not manage a budget Working Conditions (Physical/Mental Demands & Environmental Factors): Fast-paced office environment Prolonged periods working at a computer Light lifting (up to 20 pounds) Must communicate clearly and professionally Must be able to manage multiple tasks and interruptions Must maintain emotional control and composure in a team setting Equipment Used: Typical office equipment (computers, AV, printers, copiers, etc.) The above statements are intended to describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not intended to represent an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills that may be required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
