LENOIR HEALTH & REHAB CENTER in Lenoir, NC is seeking a qualified individual to join our growing team as the Part time Recreation / Activities Assistant.

What you'll do

· Support and motivate residents to engage in social, physical, and cognitive activities and adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of individual residents.

· Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of social and recreational activities and programs for residents.

· Maintain accurate and complete records of activities and resident participation.

· Transport residents to and from activities as needed and assist with the setup and cleanup of activity spaces.

· Coordinate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.

· Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.

What you need

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Creative and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in working with the elderly.

· Knowledge of recreational therapy or related field is a plus.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Highly organized and detail oriented.

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
