Job Summary:

The Workshop Facilitator/Job Seeker Consultant will work with customers to pre-screen and refer candidates to fill current job openings, training and/or internship opportunities. The interventions offered by the Job Seeker Consultant are intended to increase customer engagement with the program and service plan goals  Manages a caseload of participants and provides employment counseling and coaching.

Ideal Candidates:

• Facilitate employment-focused workshops both in person and virtually. Provide job seekers with guidance on job readiness, job search techniques, interviewing skills, resume building, and career coaching.

Responsibilities for the Workshop Facilitator includes but not limited to:

• Delivers regular ongoing career coaching services with include but are not limited to: comprehensive assessments, one-on-one coaching, cohort based work readiness/job club sConduct job readiness and job search workshops.

• Facilitate TANF orientations.

• Teach interviewing and workplace readiness skills.

• Assist participants with resume development.

• Provide individual job coaching and employment support.

• Maintain participant records and program documentation.

Qualifications:

• Related Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent work experience.

• Strong presentation and communication skills.

• Experience in training, coaching, workforce development, or related fields preferred.

• Proficiency using virtual meeting platforms.

• Ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of participants.

• Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources.

• Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends.

• Public speaking experience.

• Demonstrated computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office software programs.

• ONSITE - New Haven, CT

• M-F 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. ET

Pay Details: $28.74 per hour
