You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, and other healthcare specialists, ensuring a holistic approach to each patient's care.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety guidelines.Deliver hands-on therapy that includes therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to aid patient rehabilitation.Continuously monitor, document, and assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary for optimal recovery.Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, safety measures, and home care activities to enhance their recovery journey.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care, facilitating communication regarding patient needs and progress.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to legal and regulatory standards while ensuring confidentiality.Patient Population / Client FocusYou will be working primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions such as fractures, arthritis, and joint replacements. Understanding the unique challenges these patients face will be essential in providing tailored care that addresses their individual goals and concerns.QualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or a related field.Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.A minimum of two years of experience working in an orthopedic environment.Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation principles as they pertain to orthopedic conditions.Excellent interpersonal skills enabling effective communication and rapport-building with patients and team members.A genuine commitment to providing compassionate and empathetic patient care while maintaining professionalism.Preferred ExperienceWhile two years of experience is required, experience with specific orthopedic rehabilitation protocols, handling post-operative patients, and working in a hospital setting will be advantageous. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and patient documentation will also be respected.Compensation and BenefitsThe annual salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
