Certified Surgical Technologist Job Responsibilities
- Prepare for Surgical Procedures: Ensure that all equipment, instrumentation, and supplies are prepared and ready for surgical procedures.
- Assist Surgeons and Medical Teams: Work closely with surgeons, registered nurses, and other OR personnel to provide direct support during procedures.
- Handle Stressful Situations Calmly: Identify and manage high-pressure moments with tact and professionalism.
- Maintain Sterility: Uphold the highest standards of sterile technique during surgeries to ensure patient safety.
- Adapt to New Responsibilities: Stay flexible and take on new tasks as needed to support the surgical team.
Job Requirements
- Licensure & Certifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
- AHA BLS certification required (within 30 days of hire).
- Current North Carolina state Surgical Technologist Registration.
- Skills & Experience:
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented healthcare setting.
