The Commercial Lines Account Executive is responsible for managing and servicing an assigned book of commercial insurance business while delivering exceptional customer service. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, working closely with producers, insurance carriers, and internal staff to ensure accounts are serviced accurately and efficiently throughout the policy lifecycle. The Account Executive proactively identifies client needs, provides coverage guidance, and supports client retention through timely, professional service. At Cleary Insurance we have 3 offices located in Boston, Peabody, and Quincy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day servicing of an assigned portfolio of commercial insurance accounts.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing responsive, knowledgeable, and professional service.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and other policy transactions accurately and within carrier timelines.
• Prepare insurance proposals, certificates of insurance, evidence of insurance, binders, auto ID cards, and other policy-related documents.
• Review policies for accuracy and completeness, identifying discrepancies and ensuring coverage aligns with client needs.
• Explain coverages, policy provisions, and insurance recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding coverage, billing, claims, certificates, and policy servicing.
• Work directly with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, negotiate coverage options, process transactions, and resolve underwriting or policy issues.
• Coordinate the renewal process, including reviewing expiring coverage, preparing renewal proposals, and remarketing accounts when appropriate.
• Support producers by preparing submissions, gathering underwriting information, and assisting with new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and complete client documentation within the agency management system in accordance with agency procedures.
• Ensure compliance with agency standards, carrier guidelines, and applicable insurance regulations.
• Identify opportunities for account rounding, cross-selling, and coverage enhancements, referring opportunities to producers as appropriate.
• Collaborate with team members to promote efficient workflows and deliver a high level of client satisfaction.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to remain current on insurance products, carrier guidelines, and industry trends.

Requirements

Active Massachusetts Property Casualty Producer License.

Three or more years of experience managing commercial insurance accounts.

Technical knowledge of commercial policy forms and coverage nuances.

Proficiency in agency management systems like Applied Epic or AMS360.

Strong organizational skills to manage renewals and mid-term changes effectively.

Effective communication skills for explaining complex insurance details to business owners.
