Position conducts pre and post-trip inspections; observes safety regulations and policies; enforces student discipline on the bus; and performs related work. Ability to perform any other related duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation or other appropriate Administrator. Must have three (3) continuous years of driving experience; Must maintain First Aid and CPR certification; A thorough knowledge of Mass. General Laws, DOT, and Department of Education requirements as they pertain to school buses and pupil transportation; Must submit to drug and alcohol testing when required; Able to work flexible hours due to bus scheduling, breakdowns, accidents, and extreme weather conditions; Must possess knowledge of, or the ability to accurately and quickly learn local streets and road systems; Ability to attend training sessions conducted by the various vendors; Must be capable of working independently and possess the ability to understand and follow-through with oral and written instructions.
