Vocational Services Specialist

Position: Vocational Services Specialist Qualifications: Candidates must hold an active Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) license to be considered.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To develop and deliver vocational services as defined by the referral source for individuals with both occupational and non-occupational injuries and disabilities. Vocational services can be provided through various platforms, including virtual and telephonic methods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze available medical and return-to-work information to assist employers and employees in the return-to-work process. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards relevant to the specific line of business (e.g., state vocational rehabilitation, workers compensation). Complete job analyses, job offer letters, and program agreements for placements with non-profit organizations. Engage with various employers and community resources to create job opportunities and match clients with appropriate job leads. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform other duties as assigned. Contribute to the organization’s quality program(s).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Licensing: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS), Certified Case Manager (CCM) are required. Experience: A minimum of four years' experience in job placement and development, specifically involving individuals with occupational and/or non-occupational injuries or disabilities, which must include at least one year of vocational evaluations or counseling experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience. Skills & Knowledge: Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office products. Strong analytical and interpretive abilities. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and remotely. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Skilled in navigating electronic files and paperless systems. Proficiency in using proprietary software for virtual service delivery. Ability to generate comprehensive, accurate, and constructive written reports. Team-oriented and capable of collaborating effectively. Commitment to meeting or exceeding performance competencies.

As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. The starting pay range for this role is $58,000-$62,000, influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and location. A comprehensive benefits package is available.
