What will your summer look like? As an intern, you'll contribute to meaningful work while gaining hands-on experience in your chosen engineering discipline. You will work alongside experienced engineers on projects that strengthen communities, improve infrastructure, and shape the future. But your experience won't stop there. You'll have opportunities to explore our other technical practice areas, helping you discover new interests and better understand where your career can take you. Whether you're passionate about water, transportation, or environmental solutions, you'll gain valuable insight into the diverse work we do across the firm. Throughout the summer, you'll build relationships with other interns, early-career professionals, and leaders across Freese and Nichols through professional development, social events, and opportunities to learn from people throughout the firm. What does the internship involve? Our internships are designed to provide an immersive, collaborative experience. You'll work closely with your team of experienced professionals in the office who are ready to answer questions and provide feedback, while collaborating with fellow interns and professionals. Summer 2027 internship opportunities are available in the following technical practice areas: Transportation Urban Planning Stormwater Water Resource Planning and Design Water/Wastewater Master Planning Water Transmission & Utilities Water/Wastewater Treatment Internship opportunities are available across multiple office locations. Locations: Rogers, AR Oklahoma City, OK Tulsa, OK Majors we hire: Civil/Environmental/Water Resource Engineering Biological and Agricultural/Biosystems Engineering Structural/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering Mechanical Engineering (Water Transmission & Utilities only) What You May Work On: Support project teams with calculations, analysis, and design. Help prepare plans, reports, and other project deliverables. Collect and analyze project or field data. Work with experienced engineers to review your work and build your technical skills. Use software and tools to help solve real project problems. Qualifications Current student pursuing a BS or MS degree in one of the majors listed above. Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
