George Fox University announces a part-time, adjunct instructor position in Sociology, to begin in spring semester of 2023. The successful candidate will teach 2 courses (listed below).George Fox University, a Christ-centered community, prepares students spiritually, academically, and professionally to think with clarity, act with integrity, and serve with passion. In seeking to become a more inclusive community, we especially encourage applications from individuals who can help us achieve our diversity goals.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Teaching SOCI 150 (Principles of Sociology) on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 12 to 12:50 pm in the spring (1/9/23-4/28/23)Teaching SOCI 220 (Men and Women in Society) on Tuesday, Thursday from 12 to 1:15 pm in the spring (1/9/23-4/28/23)QualificationsMaster 's degree in Sociology or a related field is required.Teaching experience at the college level is preferred.Demonstrates awareness, respect, and appreciation for diversity of culture, background, race, sex, political views, expressions of faith, etc. and works well with a variety of people.All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a local church.
