Responsibilities The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the unit. Responsibilities include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in a manner that is age and population‑appropriate and consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Education and Training Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or a compact licensure if the state participates. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; BLS must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current IV Certification required within 90 days of employment (if required by state regulations).
