A&P Technician – Bell 206 & 505, RHC R22 & R44 Helicopters & Tecnam P2010 Airplane Company : Universal Helicopters Location : Scottsdale, Arizona Type : Permanent Posted : 22 July 2026 Description Job Summary Universal Helicopters / Universal Flight Concepts is currently accepting resumes for FAA certificated A&P Maintenance Technicians and soon to be certificated A&P’s to become part of their team providing superior maintenance to its own fleet of Bell 206, Bell 505, Robinson R22, and Robinson R44 helicopters in addition to new Tecnam P2008 & P2010 airplanes. Universal Helicopters is located at the Scottsdale Airport just Northeast of Phoenix, Arizona. Requirements Experience in Bell 206, Bell 505, Robinson R22, and Robinson R44 helicopters, Tecnam P2008 & P2010 airplanes a plus but not an absolute must. Preparing to test and or have a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (Must meet the recent experience requirements of 14 CFR §65.83). Have a complete and through working knowledge of the repair and maintenance of GA (General Aviation) aircraft and reciprocating engines along with their associated systems. Be able to work well with others in a team environment or independently if needed. Have analytical abilities sufficient to handle complex technical and administrative details related to the job. Have the ability to communicate effectively and deal courteously and professionally with students, instructors, pilots and co-workers alike. Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions or discrepancies. Have a high level of initiative and the ability to exercise independent judgment. Have proficient computer skills for accessing online publications, to include use of Microsoft Word. Have the ability to physically perform climbing, stooping, stretching, etc. for operations related to the job and lift up to 50 pounds. Currently hiring primarily for a weekday daytime position, 7-4, 8-5 and or possibly 9-6. Wages/Salary commensurate to experience.
