Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, advocating for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Exhibit knowledge of human growth and development, treatment assessment, and patient care appropriate for various age groups.

• Encourage customer service initiatives aligned with our Service Values.

• Support positive customer service behaviors.

• Document all aspects of patient care accurately.

• Utilize the Nursing Process to provide individualized care that meets patient needs.

• Demonstrate proficiency in performing technical skills and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.

• Assess patient conditions upon admission and during each shift, reporting any changes in status.

• Carry out procedures as directed by medical providers.

• Document care provided in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.

• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.

• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or a compact state.

• Effective communication skills.

• Education: ASN required; BSN preferred.
