Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant at Jupiter Dentistry, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Your responsibilities will include: Preparation : Sterilizing instruments, setting up treatment rooms, and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for dental procedures. Assisting the Dentist : Handing instruments, suctioning, and providing support during dental procedures. Patient Care : Taking and recording vital signs, medical history, and dental charting. Dental Receptionist Duties : Scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records as needed. Patient Education : Educating patients on dental treatments, proper oral hygiene techniques, and post-treatment care instructions. Compliance : Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Infection Control : Adhering to strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment. Laboratory Support : Assisting with tasks like pouring models, fabricating temporary crowns, and managing lab cases. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in dental practice management systems. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality. Familiarity with dental terminology and medical terminology. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members. Ability to take accurate vital signs and maintain detailed medical history. Knowledge of dental anatomy and procedures. Understanding of infection control protocols and safety measures.
