Maintenance Technician

Job Overview We are currently seeking a Full‑Time Mechanical Maintenance Technician who will be based at our Freeport, TX facility. The objective is to ensure safe and reliable operation of our production facility. The Technician will identify and complete planned and unplanned maintenance work on both rotating and static mechanical equipment. They will work independently, make technical decisions, and elevate concerns to line management in a timely fashion for proper support and action. Primary Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of skilled mechanic duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical equipment and facilities (pumps, piping, valves, etc.) Use a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems that require isolation of the malfunction, disassembly, and repair/replacement of bearings, gears, gaskets, fittings, etc. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems and ensure work order history is created and updated accordingly Manage need for critical spares to maintain onsite mechanical equipment Maintain shop and parts warehouse Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance database Qualifications 5+ years' experience in an industrial production environment Ability to interpret equipment drawings On-call ability required for 24/7 operations Willingness to support multiple facilities within the Texas City / Houston Ship Channel Area Benefits Linde Gases US offers competitive compensation and an outstanding benefits package, including health, dental, disability, and life insurance; paid holidays and vacation; 401(k) matching; pension benefits; an employee discount program; and opportunities for educational and professional growth.
