Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include: Technical Excellence: Installing, servicing, and troubleshooting security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems. Consultative Sales: Evaluating customer homes to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements on‑site. Customer Education: Training homeowners on how to use their new system to help protect their families. Whether you are an experienced technician or a sales professional looking for a hands‑on career change, we want to hear from you if you have: A Sales Mindset: Experience in retail, business‑to‑consumer (B2C) sales, insurance, or service‑based sales is a strong advantage. Customer‑First Attitude: Ability to act with integrity while building rapport and trust with diverse customers. Technical Aptitude: Experience in cable or satellite installation, pest control, construction, or solar industries is helpful but not required. Requirements: A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. Ability to successfully pass post‑offer background screening and licensing requirements in accordance with applicable laws. Physical Requirements of the Role: The successful candidate must be able to safely perform the following essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and descend extension and step ladders with tools and equipment on a repeated basis. Lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 pounds frequently. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold. Enter and perform work in attics where: Temperatures may exceed 110°F for short periods. Openings can be as small as 16” x 30” or 18” x 24”. Crawling, kneeling, crouching, and working in awkward postures may be required for up to 60 minutes at a time. Maintain three points of contact while navigating or traversing across trusses without stepping on drywall between trusses. Operate a company vehicle repeatedly. Perform work while standing for extended periods. Perform outdoor work with potential for bee stings Perform computer and telephone work while seated as needed. Safety is a core value at Vivint.
