Position Summary: In compliance with regulation and company policy, CNA provides hands-on care, in alignment with the resident’s care plan, in a safe homelike environment. The CNA is responsible for the direct, quality care for each resident.Facilitate Enriching Community Environment:Provides services to residents as directed by the care plan and/or Director of Health & WellnessReviews and provides input into the resident care planReports on the condition of residents to the Wellness team as well as documents in EHRResponds to security system quickly and appropriately and answers call bells immediately, taking appropriate action and resetting call bellAssists with toileting and disposes of incontinence products properly to ensure sanitationFosters resident rights in each resident interactionAssists residents with ADLs as identified in care plansImplements OSHA standards and safety standards in assisting residents and completing daily workReports accidents immediately and follows a process for documentation and treatmentUnderstands and practices the proper method of care, disposal, and exposure risk to bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks, and hazardous materialsImplements universal precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standardsAttends regular department/community meetings, cross over meetings and care plan meetingsMaintains strict confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA requirementsComplies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions, and OSHA standardsAbility to work effectively within role independently and with other team membersOrganize and complete work in a timely mannerAbility to read, write and effectively communicate in EnglishAbility to understand medical/surgical terminologyModels strong belief in mission and core valuesActive participation in learning each resident’s preferences to recognize the change in conditionExecutes good judgment in the best interest of customers.
