You'll work four 10-hour shifts each week, with a combination of operating room time and independent clinic sessions. Typically, you'll spend 1-2 days assisting in surgery and the remainder of the week managing your own clinic schedule. There are no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities. Where You'll Work The primary clinic location will be in Chestnut Hill, where you'll see patients in an outpatient setting. Surgical cases are performed primarily at New England Baptist Hospital in Mission Hill, with future opportunities to support procedures at the expanding surgical center at One Brookline Place. You'll be part of a large, collaborative Orthopaedics APP team of approximately 20 Advanced Practice Providers spanning a wide range of subspecialties. What You'll Do As an Orthopaedic NP/PA, you'll partner closely with a surgeon whose practice includes general Orthopaedics, sports-related procedures, shoulder replacement surgery, and total knee replacements. You'll assist in the operating room and independently manage your own outpatient clinic schedule, seeing the surgeon's patients for post-operative visits, follow-up care, evaluations, and injections. While you'll often practice alongside the attending physician in the same clinic space, you'll maintain your own patient panel and schedule, providing a high level of autonomous care with direct physician support readily available when needed. Coordinates the care of patients in order to provide safe, effective, efficient and timely patient centered care.* Liaises between visiting nurses, clinical staff and consult services. Care plans and execution of those plans should encompass the entire service to tie the service together.* Consults with physicians or surgeons regarding the care of patients for more complex diagnosis.* Document clinical encounters clearly, precisely and in a timely manner. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
