Program Description:
Through a combination of evidence-based therapies, trauma-informed care, and family support programs, FHC addresses the underlying causes of addiction, promoting emotional and behavioral well-being. Children live on-site with their parent during treatment, allowing families to remain connected and supported throughout the recovery journey. The program empowers individuals to rebuild their lives and strengthens family bonds, fostering a supportive environment for long-term recovery and resilience.
Position Title and Overview: Certified Recovery Specialist/Certified Family Recovery Specialist
- Utilize personal experience with addiction, either individually or within the family, to provide peer support and foster trust and understanding with clients and families.
- Offer hands-on support in developing essential life skills, including parenting and adult daily living skills, to promote stability and independence.
- Lead and facilitate recovery-focused group sessions, providing education, peer support, and coping strategies to aid in the recovery process.
- Assist clients and families by obtaining supplies, coordinating transportation to appointments, and ensuring apartments are prepared for new arrivals.
- Advocate for clients' needs, help navigate community resources and promote positive reintegration into the community.
The travel required for this position is minimal. Position Requirements:
- Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances required.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Valid PA driver's license, vehicle, registration, and proof of insurance.
- Requires working varied hours, including evenings, some weekends and holidays.
