Wage: $27.13 per hour plus Shift Differential: $1.00

Hours: 1:30 am - 6:30am Tuesday through Saturday (25 hours per week). Hours subject to business needs.


The training could be on a different schedule, currently still during 1st shift, once trained you would move to the established schedule.

Role Focus:

The Part Time Packing Operator is responsible for the smooth operation of daily scheduling needs and coordinates the day-to-day work for all fillers, satisfying production needs and maintaining consistent levels of service production needs. Responsible for ensuring operational compliance to all food safety policies and procedures.

This role is at a Dairy Foods manufacturing facility for Land O'Lakes, creating dairy products that stand for real, simple goodness. Required Qualifications & Experiences:

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ months of manufacturing experience
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Experiences:

• 1+ years of continuous prior experience in any industry.
• Self-Reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision.
• Always ensure the physical safety of oneself and co-workers; follow all safety procedures without exception.
• Adhere to safe operation of all equipment, including during cleaning, setup, and production runs.
• Be a steward for Safety, modeling safe behavior and reinforcing best practices with line associates.
• Familiarity with LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) procedures and ensure compliance when working with or near energized equipment.
• Follow HACCP principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.
• Comply with food and personal safety procedures, company policies, and regulations.
• Conduct machine set-up and pre-operational checks to ensure sanitary conditions and readiness for production.
• Operate coders and verify inkjet date codes and glue machines are functioning correctly.
• Confirm the palletizer is operational and properly aligned with production.
• Perform temperature checks as per SOPs to ensure food safety.
• Observe for product defects such as paneling cups, open seals, or any deviation from quality standards.
• Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with compliance standards.
• Verify the correct product is being packed according to the production schedule and execute product changeovers as required.
• Operate all packing equipment in the department including but not limited to: Spot Pak, 4 - Pack, Jones, P3, BPA, Palletizer (Robot).
• Assist with kitchen or production support tasks as directed by floor supervisors or production management.
• Maintain effective communication within the team and across departments to support smooth workflow and quick issue resolution.
• Promptly inform supervisors of faulty or unsafe equipment requiring maintenance, adjustment, or repair.
• Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork in adjusting to changes, meeting production goals, and supporting peers.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations and ensure team success.

Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:

• Perform pre-shift stretching exercises to promote physical readiness and injury prevention.
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work in noisy environments
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present.
