Finance Analyst II

Finance Analyst IIUnder general supervision, this position will primarily assist with compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information across various business units and/or departments within J.B. Hunt. Responsibilities will involve supporting senior management business decisions through financial and business analysis.Key Responsibilities:Assist with analysis and review of the organization's financial performance by collecting, analyzing and reporting financial and statistical dataCreate and develop reports and presentations on financial performance for internal use by management and operations teamCreate and utilize automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial resultsDevelop innovative and effective solutions to problems in financial analysis, reporting and/or forecasting through individual effort or as part of a teamInput and monitor financial data into appropriate financial systems (e.g., Workday)Retrieve and manipulate data to confirm accuracy and reasonableness within operational tablesSupport finance and accounting needs wherever called for within the organizationWork with internal staff and external vendors to clarify differences and reconcile conflictsAct as primary contact on aligned financial reportingPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED. 2-3 years in business administration, business analysis, finance, or military equivalent AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military experience, or other experiences.Ability to leverage AI to streamline business processesAbility to make independent, time-sensitive decisionsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work both individually and as a teamAbility to collect, analyze and present data in a concise mannerAbility to build and run automated workflows using PythonAbility to create & maintain dashboards in Microsoft PowerBIAbility to utilize SQLAbility to quickly learn new technologies/software applicationsKnowledge of Procurement & Payables processesKnowledge of Financial & Accounting SystemsProficient in MS Office Suite, Excel and AccessAbility to successfully manage a P&LKnowledge of formal budgeting processesPreferred Qualifications:Bachelors in business administration, Transportation Logistics, Finance or related field. 2-3 years' experience in Financial Analyst specific roleApplicants can be considered for I, II, or Sr. LevelThis position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.Compensation: Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
