Sr Applied Scientist, Ring AI

This position requires experience with developing Computer Vision, Multi-modal LLMs and/or Vision Language Models. You will collaborate with different Amazon teams to make informed decisions on the best practices in machine learning to build highly-optimized integrated hardware and software platforms. Key job responsibilities Participate in the design, development, evaluation, deployment and updating of data-driven models for computer vision applications. Research and implement the state-of-the-art computer vision and Vision Language models algorithms. Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to design and implement computer vision and machine learning based features for Ring devices Influence system design and product vision by making informed decisions on the selection of technology, data sources, algorithms, and sensors. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning Preferred Qualifications Experience creating novel algorithms and advancing the state of the art Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership Experience shaping business strategy for technical products or services for large enterprises or partners Experienced in prototyping, designing, implementing and deploying computer vision applications and tools Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
