Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary Rehab Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist Pulmonary Rehab Specialist to join our team at Carriage House Nursing and Rehab in Saginaw, Michigan. As a Respiratory Therapist Pulmonary Rehab Specialist, you will play a vital role in our Pulmonary Rehabilitation program, providing specialized therapy to patients with respiratory conditions. We are looking for someone to work 4 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough initial evaluations and assessments of patients with respiratory conditions, including COPD, asthma, and other chronic lung diseases
- Develop and implement individualized pulmonary rehabilitation plans, including exercise programs, education, and lifestyle modifications
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments, including aerosol therapy, medications, and oxygen therapy as ordered by physicians
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, treatments, and outcomes
Requirements:
- Current Respiratory Therapist licensure in the state of Michigan
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, techniques, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
