RN Unit Manager - Nursing Home

*Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation* is hiring an *RN Unit Manager* to provide leadership and oversight for resident care on assigned units. This mission-driven, nonprofit nursing home in Scotia, NY serves more than 250 residents and is known for delivering high-quality, compassionate long-term care.

This role provides 24/7 oversight of clinical operations on the unit, supports nursing staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains strong relationships with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.

*Duties*

* Oversee daily resident care and ensure compliance with all CMS, NYS, and internal standards
* Lead assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care on assigned units
* Support and mentor nursing staff, addressing clinical questions and promoting a positive team environment
* Develop and maintain staffing schedules, ensuring appropriate daily coverage
* Participate in hiring, training, education, and performance management
* Support quality and performance improvement initiatives
* Respond to resident or family concerns in a timely and compassionate manner
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to EMR procedures
* Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
* Assist with budget planning for personnel, supplies, and equipment
* Conduct staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and expectations
* Support CNA certification requirements and ongoing staff education
* Participate in required committees and leadership activities
* Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
* Perform other nursing leadership duties as assigned

*Requirements*

* *Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license*
* *At least 3 years of nursing experience, with prior supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred*
* Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
* CPR certification
* Previous long-term care experience preferred
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain professionalism
* Basic computer skills and EMR proficiency
* Ability to stand, walk, lift, and work in a clinical environment with potential exposure to infectious conditions
