Key Responsibilities of the RN - Interventional Radiology

• Perform nephrostomy tubes, sonograms, port placements, and various biopsies
• Assist with angiograms, PE thrombectomies, and embolizations
• Engage in kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, paras, and thoras procedures
• Provide moderate sedation using versed/fentanyl/dilaudid (no propofol)
• Collaborate with a dedicated support team including radiologists and respiratory therapy
• Participate in on-call duties as per rotation and schedule requirements
• Float to CT department to assist with procedures when required

Requirements of the RN - Interventional Radiology

• RN with minimum 2 years of IR experience
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with EPIC (Radiant) preferred
• Ability to circulate during procedures
• Comfortable with charting/coding for cases preferred
