Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Additional Details:

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of recent oncology experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Chest tube set-up/care; CPAP/BiPap; procedure sedation; cooling / warming blanket; drains, feeding tubes, fistula; Port-A-Cath/vascular device access/care; syringe pumps; wound vac; heparin, insulin, Lasix.

Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.

Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. All previous perm employees of any Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, BMT, general hematology/oncology, research/clinical trials, CAR-T, and stem cell transplant. Patient ratios: 1:4 days; 1:5 nights and weekends.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Floating required to meet unit staffing needs; may float to like units (Med Surg).

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
