Quick Facts Location: 11600 West 2nd Place, Lakewood, CO Start Date: 12/08/2025 Duration: Ongoing through early 2025, with 5-7 days per month Shift: 24-hour call (7 am 7 am) Hours/week: Variable (based on shift schedule) Employment Type: Locum/Temporary License/Certs: Must hold active medical license or IMLC Experience: At least 2 years of GI experience, ERCP skills a plus Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: To be discussed upon application Additional Compensation: Orientation: $262.50 (after 8 hours) On-Call (per 24 hours): $5,200 and below Holiday Call Rate (per 24 hours): $7,800 Callback (per patient contact hour): $525 and below Holiday Callback: $787.50 Benefits: Pay package discussed upon application What You ll Do Provide outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology consultations Perform procedures including ERCP, EUS, and endoscopy Manage GI bleeding, perform GI problem evaluations Collaborate with hospital staff to deliver high-quality patient care Support trauma and emergency services as part of the GI team Document patient encounters correctly in EPIC EMR system What You Need Required: Valid medical license or IMLC eligibility Minimum 2 years of GI experience Proficiency in ERCP (preferred) Ability to perform EUS and endoscopy procedures EMR proficiency in EPIC (must complete required training) Preferred: Prior experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital Comfort working independently with minimal support staff About the Assignment This locum position is at a busy Level 1 Trauma Center in Lakewood, Colorado, providing inpatient and consult services with a focus on GI disorders. The role includes high-volume procedural work, including ERCP and EUS, with a need for experienced physicians ready to step in with minimal training.
