The James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital, one of the largest and most complex VA facilities in the nation, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our dedicated, mission-driven team in beautiful Tampa, Florida. About the Opportunity This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive radiation oncology services to our nation's Veterans within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The selected physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with malignant and benign diseases requiring radiation therapy while participating in tumor boards and interdisciplinary care planning. Position Highlights * Full-time federal position (Monday-Friday schedule) * No private insurance billing * Competitive federal salary (commensurate with experience) * Performance pay eligibility * Recruitment/Relocation incentives may be authorized * Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) eligibility * Generous paid time off (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 federal holidays) * Federal retirement (FERS) & Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) with government match * Malpractice coverage provided * CME support Duties & Responsibilities * Deliver external beam radiation therapy and other advanced modalities * Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with medical oncology, surgery, and specialty services * Participate in tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives * Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to trainees as applicable * Maintain timely and accurate documentation within CPRS/EMR systems Qualifications * MD or DO degree from an accredited institution * Completion of an accredited Radiation Oncology residency * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology * Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license * U.S. citizenship requiredaa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
