Senior Reservation SpecialistLandry's has an open position as a Senior Reservation Specialist to support The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston. The position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in the Galleria area of Houston, TX. We need high caliber, experienced individuals to join our organization. If your skills and talents are a match for our needs, we can open the door to career opportunities!Responsibilities:Answer all incoming calls in a friendly, energetic and efficient mannerDeliver an exceptional guest experience in every interactionOperate communication systems, such as telephone, two-way radio and Synxis email requestsProvide guests with information concerning the hotel room accommodations, amenities and servicesObtain the necessary information from guest and utilize Visual One to input reservations and HOTSOS to communicate service requestsDirect calls to guest rooms, staff, or departments through the PBX systemPerform Outbound/Follow-up calls to address guest's requestsSuggests relevant upsells and convert calls into reservationsQualifications:At least two (2) years of experience in a customer service setting, hotel/resort reservationist, front desk agent, or equivalent work experienceEffective in following and achieving department quality assurance and sales goalsKnowledgeable on options offered by the hotels and upsell those optionsWilling to learn as options changeExceptional Customer Service skills are essential for this positionExcellent communication skills, pleasant phone manner, excellent time-management skills, and the ability to multi-task several systems at once in fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented, energetic and self-motivated, able to type efficiently and accurately at a rate of 30 WPMIntermediate computer skills required, i.e. Web Browsing, Email, Typing MS Outlook, Excel, Work and Acrobat AdobeHours: We operate daily from 7am - 11pm. Scheduling will be mainly based on call volume and needs of the contact center.
