Pharmacy Technician 2The Pharmacy Technician 2 plays a crucial role in the preparation and distribution of drug products. This position is integral in preparing prescription medications utilizing the fulfillment system to ensure accuracy and efficiency in medication delivery.ResponsibilitiesProcess prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting outreach to members and physicians.Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system accurately.Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and handle escalated member issues effectively.Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide guidance on processing.Assist with inbound and outbound patient or physician calls to ensure a seamless communication process.Perform other duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma2-4 years of experience as a Pharmacy TechnicianCurrent Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operationBasic computer skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsCertified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)Familiarity with Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulationsCustomer service skillsWork EnvironmentThe Pharmacy Technician 2 will work in a dynamic pharmacy environment requiring attention to detail and adherence to state regulations.
