Licensed Electrician (Residential & Commercial) Company: ZUMA Contracting LLC Pay Range: $30–$50 per hour (depending on experience) Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Caro, MI Industry: Construction Services Job Overview ZUMA Contracting LLC seeks a highly skilled and licensed electrician to lead and execute electrical installations, service work, and troubleshooting across residential and commercial projects. This hybrid role involves working both independently and with construction teams to deliver safe, code‑compliant electrical systems. The ideal candidate holds a valid Michigan Electrical License—or can obtain one quickly—and demonstrates professionalism, precision, and pride on every job. Key Responsibilities Residential Service & Installation Diagnose and repair electrical issues using appropriate tools and equipment. Perform installations including panel upgrades, circuit additions, outlets, switches, lighting, GFCIs, and code‑compliance corrections. Communicate effectively with homeowners about findings and solutions. Commercial Electrical Work Install and maintain electrical systems in commercial spaces, including offices and light industrial buildings. Interpret and execute work from blueprints, schematics, and code specifications. Install lighting systems, conduit runs, panels, feeders, and terminations. Troubleshooting & Maintenance Test and maintain electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings. Replace defective components such as outlets, switches, ballasts, and motors. Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards. Master‑Level or Lead Responsibilities (if applicable) Mentor apprentices and junior electricians. Review installation quality and assist with complex troubleshooting. Support coordination with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors. Documentation & Jobsite Standards Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used. Uphold clean, safe, and organized work environments. Maintain valid licenses and certifications.
