Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CT Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel CT Technologist Job Summary CT Technologists utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. They are responsible for interpreting physicians' scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating the CT scan equipment, and positioning patients to capture appropriate images. This role requires physical maneuvering and adherence to safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure risks for both the technologist and the patient. Essential Functions Conduct interactions with everyone in a friendly, courteous, and respectful manner. Offer assistance to others and find help when necessary. Advocate for privacy and confidentiality while maintaining awareness. Maintain a clean and safe environment. Respond appropriately and immediately in emergency situations. Ensure compliance with regulations to maintain accreditation and licensure. Document incidents in a timely manner and maintain records accurately. Ensure that all Cat Scan images are of optimum diagnostic quality. Review physician orders for accuracy to ensure the correct examination is conducted. Prepare and operate Cat Scan processing and printing equipment to create quality final images. Gauge patient well-being and comfort, particularly in vulnerable populations, avoiding unnecessary exposure to radiation. Coordinate scheduling and patient flow to ensure timely examination completion. Job Requirements Minimum Education Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent. Minimum Work Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT. Previous experience performing CT scan procedures is preferred. Familiarity with Toshiba CT Scanners is a plus. Required Licenses MA DPH Radiology License required. ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (CT) preferred with completion within two years of hire. Required Skills Quality-conscious with strong interpersonal skills. Flexible and able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Dependable, organized, and capable of using independent judgment. Possess high technical skills related to CT imaging.
