Onsite People and Culture Manager

Amplio Recruiting

Job Description

TruRecruiting is the largest impact recruiting firm in the U.S. This role is for a new onsite People + Culture Manager to care for and serve 200+ of our employees. We believe recruiting and jobs changes lives, end poverty, protect youth from exploitation, end crime and create flourishing.

\n

\n

Who We Are

\n

Our mission is to redeem the people business: ensuring underserved and lower-wage workers are treated with dignity and respect throughout the recruiting process.

\n

\n

TruRecruiting helps great companies hire dependable employees from the refugee, survivor, returning citizen and foster youth and their parents workforce.

\n

\n

Since 2014 we have stood with more than 25,000 refugees in their heroic and legal journey to flee persecution and start a new life for their families, placing over 1,500 refugees in jobs every year and generating hundreds of millions of dollars in wage revenue for underserved communities. We have helped 3k returning citizens get jobs resulting in 90% not returning to prison system and recommitting crimes.

\n

\n

Do Justice — end exploitation of marginalized workers. Love Mercy. Walk Humbly — serve our colleagues, candidates, clients, churches & cities with humility and respect. —

\n

\n

The Opportunity

\n

We are hiring an Onsite Manager to lead our largest client partnership — an embedded, day-shift role at the client's Durham, NC facility supporting a workforce of approximately 175 Amplio employees, most of them refugees and new Americans from Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the US. This is the role the big staffing firms call an onsite or in-house program manager: you are the daily face of Amplio inside the client's operation — the first point of contact for the client, the advocate and problem-solver for our employees, and the engine of recruiting, retention, and service delivery. But at Amplio, the job is bigger than fill rates and KPIs. Our onsite managers become part of our employees' lives. This is more than just a job to us.

\n

\n

Our employees become part of our family. We drive them in the snow, we take their kids out, we host cultural events and live life with them. — Amplio Recruiting We are looking for someone who cares deeply for our people — a culturally sensitive person of trust who values the diverse expertise refugees and immigrants bring to the workforce, and who will make sure every worker gets protection, transparency, and a livable-wage job.

\n

\n

Position Onsite Manager — Amplio Recruiting

\n

Location: Onsite at our largest client's facility in Durham, NC (day shift)

\n

Reports To: Recruiting Client Delivery Operations Manager

\n

\n

Goal 50% of all hires from refugee, foster, 2nd-chance, and survivor backgrounds across the TruRecruiting platform

\n

\n

Why This Workforce

\n

Refugees, foster youth, returning citizens and survivors are some of the best-kept secret of the U.S. economy. They are legal, dependable, and ready to work — and the results prove it: our refugee workforce delivers 73% one-year retention versus a 31% frontline industry standard, 90% start rates, and clients report productivity gains of 25%. We have dependability. Our overtime dramatically dropped. Productivity + retention increased. We were no longer stressed out and strained. Our employees are grateful. I don't have to keep training people every day, and I'm happy about it.

\n

\n

Role & Responsibilities

\n

Employee Care & Cultural Bridge (the heart of the job)

\n

• Be a daily, visible, trusted presence on the floor for ~175 employees — know their names, their stories, their families, and their goals.

\n

• Serve as the cultural bridge between a multinational workforce (Asia, Africa, Latin America, US) and client supervisors — coaching both sides on communication, expectations, and trauma-informed, dignity-first management.

\n

• Run onboarding, orientation, and on-the-job support so every new hire starts strong: I-9/work authorization, safety training, transportation coordination, and first-week check-ins.

\n

• Resolve employee concerns quickly and fairly — attendance, pay questions, interpersonal conflicts, accommodations — and escalate with care when needed.

\n

• Celebrate our people: milestone recognition, cultural events, and connection to our Foundation resources (job coaching, career pathways, community partners) and local churches and resettlement agencies (World Relief, CWS, USCRI, LWS).

\n

\n

Recruiting & Fulfillment

\n

• Own the end-to-end requisition funnel for the site: forecast with client hiring managers, then source, screen, interview, and select candidates against client-specific job profiles.

\n

• Maintain a ready pipeline of qualified refugee and impact-population talent in partnership with Amplio recruiters and resettlement-agency partners in the Triangle.

\n

• Drive toward the TruRecruiting mission goal: 50% of hires from refugee, foster, 2nd-chance, and survivor backgrounds — without ever compromising on fit, safety, or candidate wellbeing.

\n

• Hit agency-grade fulfillment metrics: fill rate, time-to-fill, 90%+ show/start rate, and ramp plans for peak seasons.

\n

\n

Site Operations & Service Delivery

\n

• Manage daily workforce operations: shift coverage, check-ins, attendance and time & attendance tracking, payroll accuracy, and invoicing support.

\n

• Monitor and report on KPIs and SLAs — retention, attendance, productivity, safety — and deliver daily client updates and quarterly business reviews.

\n

• Partner with client safety leadership on incident response, workers' comp reporting, and a culture of safety for a multilingual workforce.

\n

• Ensure full compliance with employment law, client contractual standards, and Amplio's ethical recruiting commitments; support periodic contract-compliance audits.

\n

\n

Client Partnership

\n

• Act as the primary onsite point of contact and first step for client escalations; build consultative, top-of-mind relationships with plant leadership, HR, and supervisors.

\n

• Learn the client's business, culture, and strategic direction; function as an embedded extension of their HR team.

\n

• Identify opportunities to deepen the partnership — temp-to-perm conversions, additional lines or shifts, and cross-brand TruRecruiting solutions — and grow the account with the market team.

\n

\n

Who You Are Heart

\n

• You care deeply for people — especially people the labor market overlooks. You believe work restores dignity, and you treat every employee the way you'd want your own family treated.

\n

• Culturally curious and humble: energized (not intimidated) by a floor where a dozen languages are spoken; patient, warm, and respectful across cultures.

\n

• Aligned with our mission and values — we are a faith-driven company serving everyone; you'll represent that mission with integrity, hospitality, and zero discrimination.

\n

• Calm under pressure, joyful under load: hungry, humble, hustle.

\n

\n

Experience

\n

• 2–4+ years in staffing/recruiting, onsite/in-house program management, HR, workforce development, or high-volume production/distribution supervision (Randstad-, Adecco-, or Manpower-style onsite experience is a strong plus).

\n

• Experience with high-volume, front-line workforces (manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, food production) and the metrics that run them.

\n

• Experience working with refugees, immigrants, or other underserved populations — professionally or through community/church service — strongly preferred.

\n

• Comfort with ATS/HRIS, time & attendance systems, and spreadsheet-level reporting.

\n

• Bilingual or multilingual a major plus (Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, Dari/Pashto, Burmese, Karen, Nepali, French, or Spanish especially valuable).

\n

• Valid driver's license; ability to work day shift onsite in Durham, NC, with occasional early starts for shift coverage.

\n

\n

How We Measure Success

\n

• Retention: 73%+ one-year retention — holding Amplio's refugee-workforce standard, more than double the industry norm.

\n

• Fulfillment: fill rate and 90%+ start rate against client forecasts.

\n

• Mission: 50% of hires from refugee, foster, 2nd-chance, and survivor backgrounds.

\n

• Client health: SLA attainment, QBR scores, and year-over-year account growth.

\n

• People: employee satisfaction, safety record, and the stories — GEDs finished, families reunited, first homes, promotions to client payroll.

\n

\n

What's In It for You

\n

• A front-row seat to recruiting that changes lives — every hire interrupts poverty and builds a family's future, with $50M+ already sent home by our workers to some of the poorest countries in the world.

\n

• Competitive salary and benefits per Amplio/TruRecruiting policy: PTO, medical stipend, dental & vision, 401(k), professional development budget, and chaplain care & spiritual support.

\n

• A company that makes family a priority and treats you — and your 175 people — with the same dignity we promise our workers.

\n

• Growth path across the TruRecruiting brand stack (Amplio, TruSurvivors, TruFoster, Tru2ndChances) as we scale impact recruiting nationally.

\n

\n

Amplio Recruiting is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees — it's the whole point. Jobs · Justice
