Packaging Operator

The Packaging Operator sets up, operates, and maintains production and packaging machines to produce gift presentation products. This role ensures quality standards are met, troubleshoots equipment issues, and supports a safe, efficient work environment. Starting pay is $21.35/hour plus $1.25/hour for 2nd shift differential (total $22.60/hour). This position is on 2nd Shift (3:30pm - 12:00am), Monday through Friday This position is located in Leavenworth, Kansas. Relocation is not provided. Key Responsibilities Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of production and packaging machines Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform preventive maintenance Conduct quality inspections on in-process and finished goods; remove defective products Accurately complete production, defect, and shipping documentation in SAP Collaborate with team members to solve problems, drive results, and share process updates Maintain a clean and safe work area; follow all safety protocols Support multiple assignments and departments as needed; demonstrate flexibility Track and replenish packaging materials to minimize downtime Participate in performance dialogues and team problem-solving activities Learn and apply a wide range of quality systems and product specifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Ability to grasp, lift and carry product weighing up to 15 lbs frequently and 65 lbs occasionally Ability to stand and walk approximately 90% of the time Ability to reach, twist, bend, perform repetitive hand/wrist motion, and use fine motor skills 90% of the time Ability to occasionally work at or above shoulder level
