Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.

What you'll be doing...

• Develop maintenance plans and work packets with the necessary details, including material/parts listings, procedures, drawings, and equipment clearance requests.
• Coordinate maintenance work schedules with operating and maintenance groups to ensure efficient operations.
• Prioritize environmental equipment maintenance to ensure compliance with permits and procedures.
• Issue accurate equipment clearance requests and relay safety aspects of the job.
• Assume duties of the maintenance supervisor during absences.
• Respond to emergency calls outside of normal scheduled hours.
• Develop work scopes and bid specifications for contracted work, and manage projects performed by contractors within budget.
• Collaborate with Material and Contract Services on procurement issues and dispute resolution.
• Apply complete cost and labor estimates for maintenance tasks to support work management and budget processes.
• Develop capital and O&M budget initiatives for long-term reliability of critical equipment and systems.
• Assist in developing outage and maintenance plans for efficient execution when opportunities arise.
• Support operating departments in equipment monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Conduct routine field walk-downs to validate work scope, identify hazards, and support planning and scheduling.

The right person has...

• 5+ years of experience in a power plant, utility, construction, industrial, manufacturing, electrical, maintenance, operations, or related technical environment.
• Proven technical competence and understanding of maintenance processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field for job walk-downs and work coordination.
• Knowledge of computer software packages related to maintenance management and project management.
• Strong organizational, communication, and planning skills.
• Ability to encourage teamwork and individual accountability.
• Understanding of maintenance and work management processes.
