Must-Have: Experience with ventilation, titration of pressors, and insulin drips. Flexibility to work every other weekend. Proficient in titration of vasopressors, sedation medication, arterial lines, and management of chest tubes. Experience within the last 6 months is necessary.

Description: The position involves working in a high-acuity step-down unit. Patient ratios will be 1 nurse to 4 patients. There is a requirement to float within service lines as needed. Nurses will be responsible for the care of ventilated patients and must be familiar with troubleshooting alarms. All nurses are required to have experience with cardiac telemetry and the management of cardiac arrhythmias. Candidates must possess strong skills in arterial line management, blood product administration, and chest tube care. The unit will also require management of high-flow nasal cannula and interpretation of arterial blood gases. Robust interdisciplinary support is available within the unit. The daily census is approximately 25 patients. Additional support personnel, such as respiratory services and social services, are present. Nurses will be caring for adult patients in an acute medical care setting. The role may include responsibilities like phlebotomy and procedural sedation administration. Working knowledge of insulin protocols and management of vasoactive drips is essential. Candidates must be able to perform various nursing procedures and provide comprehensive patient care. All special procedures and equipment required for this role are considered non-negotiable.
