An inpatient pharmacist position is available in Conroe, TX, for a 13-week contract beginning September 21. This role involves managing the medication process to promote pharmaceutical care, identifying and preventing potential drug-related problems, and ensuring medication safety and accuracy for patients ranging from newborns to adults. The position operates on a day shift schedule, working three 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including rotating weekends. Experience with EPIC EMR is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medication doses based on patient diagnosis, weight, allergies, and potential drug interactions to prevent medication incidents.
• Accurately enter medication orders into the computer system.
• Ensure correct dispensing of medications with zero errors.
• Process medication orders and deliver doses within established guidelines.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control practices during the preparation of sterile products, including adherence to certification standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years recent inpatient pharmacy experience; pediatric experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Active Texas pharmacist license.
• ACPE IV Certification.
• Proficiency in using EPIC EMR.
