Shop Technician

Shop TechnicianAs a Shop Technician with Jasper Engineering, your mission is to contribute to the overall success, efficiency and effectiveness of our Shop and Warehouse departments by playing the critical role of a utility player. You will be expected to anticipate the needs of the different departments and take lead in completing several critical tasks. It is imperative that you gain an understanding of how each department operates in an effort to help identify potential gaps that your specific skillset can fill.Primary Responsibilities:Lubrication DepartmentEnsure a clean and organized work environment in the lubrication roomTransfer lubrication product from fluid bags to pumping binsLubrication tank cleaning and pumping support, as neededServe as primary backup to lubrication technician for pumping at customer site(s)Linatex Rubber DepartmentBurning rubber out of shells, pipes and other equipment as needed.Support the prep and installation of rubber for large balling drum jobsSand blasting of pipes, pumps, shells, etc.Shop MaintenanceCleaning, maintenance and upkeep of shop bathrooms, floors and general facility cleanlinessPallet organization for job prepLubrication tank cleaning and pumping supportOrganization of warehouse parts as directedFacility/Property MaintenanceLawn mowing/shovelingJasper Sign upkeep and beautificationDriveway repairDump runs for pallets and garbageShop Truck MaintenanceWashing/VacuumingOil/tire changesOffice updates-painting, general cleaningOther tasks and duties as directed to include but not limited to the following:Equipment Delivery on requestKeep/Fill assistance with chain businessDelivery truck loading/unloadingGear cleansTruck bed equipment installsOther tasks as required to support the team in general.Leadership & ProfessionalismCommunicate effectively both in person and in writing.Be sensitive to the needs of the organization and responsive to requests from within and outside of the organization.Exhibit the utmost integrity.
