Job Description As a General/Special Education Teacher at The Menta Group, you will have the freedom and ability to educate a small classroom of students in a self-contained setting. Address: 610 S Crescent St., Gilman, IL 60938 Staff Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., M–F, following a 10‑month school calendar Requirements: IL PEL with LBS1 Certification or LBS1 Certification (or PEL General Education Teacher Certification with willingness to obtain LBS1) Benefits: Tuition reimbursement for General Educators to obtain LBS1. Negotiable sign‑on bonus for LBS1 Teachers. Responsibilities Teach all subjects in both remote (e-learning) and in-person classroom settings Provide a differentiated learning environment Work collaboratively with staff, including curriculum and clinical staff, to yield positive results for students Provide a social‑emotional learning environment Maintain a classroom size of around 10 students with paraprofessional support Flexibly teach multiple grade levels as student populations change Teach within all basic instructional areas Work with youth with emotional, behavioral, and academic difficulties Collaborate and creatively problem‑solve as part of a team Communicate effectively in speaking and writing Qualifications IL Professional Educator License with LBS1 Certification, or willingness to obtain LBS1 Ability to teach multiple grade levels Ability to teach all basic instructional areas Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Willingness to obtain LBS1 for non‑substitute certification Compensation and Benefits In accordance with the Pay Transparency amendment to the Illinois Equal Pay Act of 2003, information about pay ranges and employee benefits can be found at Our benefits package includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off (PTO); and a 403(b) retirement plan with an employer match.
