Location: Cedar Grove, NJ - fully on-site, with an in-office environment designed for collaboration, mentorship, and substantive hands-on legal work.

Note : Must have active New Jersey or New York bar admissions and at least 1+ year of New York-based insurance defense experience.

Job Description

• Manage a diverse insurance defense caseload representing insurance carriers.
• Develop and execute long-term litigation strategies designed to protect client interests.
• Conduct fact and expert witness depositions.
• Work closely with industry, medical, and technical experts to develop case strategy and strengthen defenses.
• Analyze case issues, assess exposure, and identify practical litigation solutions.
• Draft and review high-quality legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal team members.
• Manage competing deadlines and maintain organized case files throughout the litigation process.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of New York-based insurance defense experience required.
• Active New Jersey or New York bar admissions required.
• Experience conducting fact and expert witness depositions.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and case management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and competing priorities in a fast-paced litigation practice.
• Judicial clerkship experience preferred.
