Construction Project Manager, Energy & Infrastructure

Innovien is supporting a multi-site energy and infrastructure program for public and institutional facilities. We're hiring a Construction Project Manager to run a portfolio of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, solar, roofing, and controls projects from concept through commissioning. You hire the subs, issue the POs, approve the pay apps, and own the schedule and the budget, with no layers between you and the outcome.

This role is built for contractor-side PMs. If your background is primarily owner's rep or agency CM, telecom or low voltage, retail or tenant fit-out, or single-trade work, it likely isn't the right match.

What You'll Do

• Deliver several concurrent projects on time, on budget, and on spec, with full responsibility for P&L, forecasting, and risk and contingency
• Own contract scope and compliance, including bids, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Build and maintain schedules against critical path milestones across your portfolio
• Manage subcontractor and vendor performance, direct inspections for spec and safety, and oversee permitting, code compliance, documentation, and closeout

What You Bring

• 5+ years as a Project Manager at a general contractor, CM-at-risk firm, or energy services contractor, including your current or most recent role
• Personal ownership of individual projects valued at $5M to $20M+ (list each project value separately on your resume, not combined totals)
• Institutional or large commercial experience: K-12, higher education, corrections, government, or healthcare
• Hands-on management of multiple subcontractors at once: subcontracts, POs, pay applications, invoicing, and change orders
• Working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and energy infrastructure scopes, with direct owner and sub interface
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint
• Valid driver's license, required for weekly travel to job sites up to 120 miles
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
• Bachelor's in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field

Nice to Have

• DSA submittal, inspection, and closeout experience (mentorship available for strong GC PMs)
• ESCO, ESPC, or turnkey energy program delivery across multiple trades
• PMP certification or Procore experience

Details

• Hybrid, Irvine, CA: 4 days per week onsite (customer site time counts)
• W2 employment with Innovien Solutions during the 6-month contract
• Conversion salary: $125K to $160K based on experience, with PTO, paid sick leave, paid holidays, and 401(k) match
