An excellent opportunity for a Banking & Finance Associate to join a highly regarded national law firm in Charlotte.
The team advises lenders, borrowers and financial institutions across a broad range of sophisticated financing transactions, including commercial lending, leveraged finance, fund finance and structured finance.
The Role
- Advising lenders and borrowers on a range of banking and finance transactions
- Supporting commercial lending, acquisition finance and leveraged finance matters
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating loan agreements, credit agreements and related financing documentation
- Assisting with secured and unsecured lending transactions
- Conducting due diligence and supporting transaction structuring and execution
- Coordinating with clients, opposing counsel and other advisers throughout the transaction process
- Taking responsibility for discrete workstreams and managing multiple transactions simultaneously
- Collaborating with colleagues across the firm's wider corporate and finance practices
Candidate Profile
- 2+ years' experience in banking, finance or related transactional practices
- Experience with commercial lending, credit facilities or other debt financing transactions
- Experience representing lenders and/or borrowers preferred
- Experience in banking and finance, commercial lending, leveraged finance, fund finance, structured finance or related debt financing transactions will be considered.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and transactional skills
- Experience at a leading national or international firm preferred, although strong candidates from regional or mid-sized practices will also be considered
- Comfortable managing competing deadlines and taking ownership of matters
- Commercially minded, organised and able to work effectively within a team
- Strong academic and professional credentials
- North Carolina Bar admission preferred
