Preconstruction Manager-Commercial Construction (Procurement)

Local DMV GC seeking a Preconstruction Manager for Commercial Construction (Procurement background a Must) Projects in the DMV area. Responsibilities Our new Preconstruction Manager will act as a key leader in the entire work acquisition process, including management, coordination, and delivery of the preconstruction phases of the project and extensive client contact. They produce progress estimates at design milestones, evaluate material and system costs, review document progress and coordination, build and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships. The role is also responsible for detailed take‑offs and estimating, defining bid package scopes, and overseeing the subcontractor/supplier bidding process. Candidates must thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑task environment with multiple project relationships and competing priorities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field 8 years of estimating experience, with a concentration in mechanical construction projects Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices Conceptual ability to work with minimum information and quickly develop an understanding of the client and architect requirements Demonstrated imaginative, innovative, and succinct approach to a project Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite Strong attention to detail, well organized, diplomatic and able to handle confidential information with discretion Ability to work in a fast‑paced and team‑oriented environment Some travel may be required depending on business needs Benefits Salary range: $135,000 – $175,000 per year Annual discretionary bonus Free medical, dental, and vision insurance for the employee; 75% cost sharing for family coverage including a domestic partner Tuition reimbursement, 401k matching 20 days of PTO per year; flexible hybrid remote working arrangements; latest technology and tools to do your best work Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
