Graphic Design Intern

Smith Publicity is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to join our Fall/Winter 2026 Internship Program. The program will run from September through the end of December, with the potential to extend into Spring 2027. The length of the internship and hours can be adapted to fit the intern's schedule. This is a paid stipend opportunity and we are happy to also help with course credit. Smith Publicity is a leading thought leadership and book publicity agency that works with authors, thought leaders, and publishers to build visibility for books and experts across national media, podcasts, television, digital outlets, social media, and more. Our design work plays an important role in helping clients and campaigns stand out visually. The Graphic Design Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience creating visual materials for book publicity, author branding, marketing, social media, presentations and media outreach. Job duties may include (not an exhaustive list): Creating and designing graphics for social media, including Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms Developing promotional graphics and visual assets to support book publicity campaigns Designing expert and book-related marketing materials, including digital flyers, promotional pieces and campaign assets Assisting with the design and formatting of media guides, press materials, one-sheets, presentations, and other client-facing materials Helping develop visual concepts and creative treatments for authors, books and thought-leader campaigns Creating graphics that translate publicity and media opportunities into engaging visual content Supporting the design and development of internal Smith Publicity materials, presentations, training resources and other company projects Assisting with visual branding and maintaining consistency across client materials Adapting existing designs for different platforms, formats and audiences Researching current design, social media, publishing and marketing trends for potential use in client campaigns Collaborating with publicists and the broader Smith Publicity team to understand project goals and develop creative solutions Organizing design files and maintaining an efficient digital asset library Other creative and design-related projects as needed Interns have the opportunity to work fully remote or on a hybrid schedule at our Cherry Hill, NJ office. #J-18808-Ljbffr
