Job Summary: In accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values, the COTI RN is responsible for supporting general medical administrative & programmatic oversight of all clients as it relates to medical compliance. The following duties will apply:

Duties

• Assures that all clients’ medical files are in compliance with Agency and regulatory polices, practices and procedures.

• Provide direction, supervision and assistance to program staff where there are medical concerns; including on call support where necessary.

• Responds appropriately to crisis and emergency situations in order to ensure/secure the health and safety of the clients. Adheres to regulatory guidelines and follows-up by appropriate communication and documentation.

• Participate in general, staff, in-service and supervisory meetings held by the Agency.

• Coordinate ongoing support/care utilizing the outreach board.

• Conducts other related Agency training as directed and within area of expertise.

• Perform other duties and functions as directed.

• Provide health assessments in community to determine treatment needs and help facilitate appropriate referrals.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Current NYS RN. Valid NYS Drivers’ License. Behavioral health background preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with culturally diverse persons, staff and community service providers.

• Working knowledge of behavioral health.

• Ability to multi-task, have good problem solving & time management skills.

• Recognition and understanding of the scope of practice according to the Nurse Practice Act.
