Certs required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH
Experience required: 2 Year
ICU experience is required for PACU
Common Diagnosis/Procedures: General (Ex-lap, apply, cholecystectomy, I&D), Colo-rectal, Gyn (Hysterectomy), AV Fistula, Ortho,
Neuro (crani, spinal sgy, angiogram), Urology, Vascular, Podiatry/Hand surgeries, OMFS
Any special procedure done on the unit?
Recovery of post-anesthesia patients; associated procedures i.e. line placement,
extubation/intubation, nerve block; critical care monitoring i.e. ICP, hemodynamic monitoring
Float to ED, ICU, MS, Tele, SDU (Seldom)
Ratio: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
