Overview

The Packaging Loading Operator unloads and loads empty package materials.

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities

• Operates fork-lift in a safe, efficient manner.
• Unloads and loads empty package materials from trucks and railroad cars.
• Supplies packaging house with specified orders.
• Hauls empty pallets and drums from packing house to specified area for shipment.
• Obtains equipment from designated location before work and returns equipment when work is complete.
• Performs all jobs in accordance with established safety practices and sanitation standards.

Work Experiences

Minimum of one year experience driving a forklift.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Essential Capabilities (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Attributes)

Ability to maneuver in a confined area. Ability to coordinate hand and foot controls. To operate equipment properly, to prevent property damage and minimum hazard to self and fellow workers.

Hourly Rate

Starting Rate $ 28.49 Paid vacation and sick time after probationary period.
