Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a busy 38-bed medicine unit, requiring telemetry experience and rotating shifts including every other weekend.

Details

• 38-bed inpatient medicine unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, substance abuse, and medical diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders
• RN-to-patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends; PCT-to-patient ratio is 1:10
• Rotating 7A/7P schedule (12-hour shifts)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required every other holiday and as needed
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Experience in a telemetry Med/Surg unit required
• Strong IV skills required
• Experience in a comparable-sized facility (500+ bed count) preferred for large academic medical center placements
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
