Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist Full time, Day shift position at Birmingham Green in Manassas, VA. Responsibilities Back-up for Director of Nursing and Clinical Services in her absence, handling all responsibilities and duties. Assist Director in recruitment and selection of nursing staff. Coordinate the Pain Management Program, fall team and infection control. Coordinate the Wound Team. Provide on‑call coverage, including weekends. Coordinate the three unit managers in meeting continuous quality improvement initiatives. Evaluate care systems, research and recommend changes to improve resident outcomes. Qualifications Three or more years of experience in long‑term care with supervisory, staff development and quality improvement responsibilities. Working knowledge of Medicare regulations. Knowledge of laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long‑term care. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and other computer skills.
